—A Brimming Glass of Spiders
It was actually down to Carnegie Mellon U and RISD—I said no to SVA because I didn’t want to live so close to my town #priorities
I guess I really liked CMU for its variety—it’s a university and RISD is a college. Also there’s only 43 of us design freshmen, but even though we’re in the same classes for 4 years, you have kids in other schools to befriend. More than half my friends are engineer and science majors.
And even though I also like doing cartoony and animation things, I can still do that as a minor.
Also, CMU Design has a great history of getting their grads high-paying jobs right out of senior year. (There’s a senior who got a job offer from Apple over the summer)
Thanks! And it was initially 20 minutes, but I think I added more contrast for 10 more.
A supportive long time chum who I can go to for support and vice versa. Haven’t seen in ages but still feel incredibly close and chummy with. Finally out of the trench that is high school and is gonna take college by storm and succeed wildly FOR SURE!!
I’ve been feeling really antisocial lately due to nostalgia. Visiting my (non-college) friends back home this weekend made me more homesick than I’ve ever felt since I’ve only gotten to know them this May. We all became pretty close. There’s that certain feeling of hanging out with familiar people in familiar places and events and I haven’t felt that since I left for school.
It’s something I need to get over.
(My friend/roommate happyguolucky takes good pictures of people. We were at Softlab Design Studio in NY)
